Brake Package & Caliper Mounting
Scanning existing hub and upright geometry to design a caliper mounting bracket that fits the brake package around what was already there.

The problem
A brake package needed to mount to hardware it was never designed for. There were no drawings for the existing hub and upright, and the space around the disc and wheel was limited, so the bracket had to be designed around geometry that could only be measured off the car.
The approach
We scanned the existing components and pulled out the parts that mattered: mounting hole centres, the disc face and axis, and the surfaces the bracket could reference. With those in CAD we could see the available envelope and design a bracket to suit, checking clearance to the wheel and surrounding components as the design developed.
The result
A bracket design referenced to the real geometry, with the fitment checked before anything was made, plus CAD suitable for producing the part.
